Every month we share our upcoming plans as well as offer insights into our hopes and dreams for the future. We hope you enjoy!

March was a month full of contradictions. We were inspired by the brilliant Nastazja Domaradzka and the group of young people, who were exploring political theatre-making. But we couldn’t help feeling a little sad as the UK marked the one year anniversary of the first coronavirus lockdown. What a strange year it’s been …

Spring is definitely here, even if the temperatures aren’t quite showing it. And the blue spring skies and a desperate need for sunglasses are putting a spring in our step – even if we have to wear winter coats and wooly hats for a little longer.

So after kick-starting the month with a week of exciting meetings with artistic partners from all over the world, we’re ready to hit the GO button on our production plans! Truth be told, we’re a little nervous, but off we go!

This month we’re also planning to return to our basement studio in Haggerston (previous plans to return were put on hold in response to lockdowns). We can’t wait to connect with new and old friends at the Rose Lipman Building, and in our local community. We’ve missed the creative buzz of the building and surrounding areas.

Traditionally April is the month of spring cleaning at Foreign Affairs HQ, and we’re planning a big digital clear out. After a year of working exclusively in the online world, our digital folders have so many subfolders that our minds are about to explode – do you know the feeling?

As we hold our breath and continue to make plans for the future, we dream of the day we can bring more people onto the production team, so we can spend more time doing creative work and less time staring at screens.

How are you getting along with summer just around the corner? Let us know by connecting on social media or drop us a line as we’re always happy to meet for a cup of coffee in the Land of Zoom.
