on the last day of 2020
2020 has truly been a year like no other, and it’s had more than its fair share of challenges.
As we sat down to write our message for the New Year, we were overwhelmed with gratitude for all the people we’ve had the pleasure of connecting and working with over these last twelve months.
So, instead of rounding up and sharing some of our highlights, it seems the only way to wrap up the year is with a heartfelt thank you.
People – you – are at the core of our story, so on this last day of 2020 we celebrate all the people who’ve filled our lives with performance and theatre, and ultimately hope and optimism throughout this difficult year.
Thank you to all the artists, creatives and practitioners who’ve joined us in the previously uncharted land of Zoom – you’ve truly been the light in the darkness!
Thank you to all of our supporters and audiences – without you there would be no Foreign Affairs!
On this last day of 2020, we raise a glass to you, we eat twelve raisins and sweet marzipan cakes, we leap off chairs into 2021 as we wish for a year where we can gather in small basements and shop fronts, where together, we can experience theatre beyond borders!
Here’s to you!
With love,
Camila & Trine
