Running a theatre company isn’t just administration alongside the art – it’s part of the art making. The decisions, the compromises, the moments of doubt and the ones that surprise you.

Behind the Scenes is where we make that visible. A space for personal reflections from Camila and Trine (founders and co-artistic directors) – on making work, on producing it, on what it means to lead a company as actors turned company directors. Alongside that, you’ll find project pages that have become archive: records of specific moments, collaborations, productions, and events that are part of our journey and have shaped who we are and why we do what we do.

It’s not a highlights reel. Think of it as our journal – the good, the bad, and occasionally the ugly.

Whether you’re an artist navigating your own practice, someone curious about what goes on behind a production, or a long-time supporter of FA – we hope something here feels familiar.

notes from us – an informal journal

An informal journal by Camila and Trine – two artistic directors reflecting on their practice, the balance between art-making and producing, and what it means to lead a company together. Honest, immediate, and not always tidy. Written for us, shared in case it’s useful to you.
