Thoughts on the US election

Dear friends and colleagues,

In the wake of the results of the US election where the most powerful position on earth now belongs to a man that stands for self interest and greed, who’s happy to alienate any minority group in his country, who encouraged violence and threatened to deport an entire religion, it occurs to us that it is as important a time as ever to be united, to work together in partnerships and explore and respect other cultures.

This election reaffirms our core believes in equality, inclusiveness and solidarity. For six years our work has been ‘crossing borders’, bringing people together, learning from them and sharing stories and experiences that connect us to the world.

Our responsibility as theatre makers, individuals and human beings demands us to, now more than ever, stay and work together building bridges and creating a welcoming space where humanity can have a voice, inspiring people and bringing hope and optimism to the new generations. So let’s get back to business.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

We are and always will be [Foreign Affairs].
