Position: Project Coordinator, Engagement Programme

Position summary: As the Project Coordinator, Engagement Programme, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the engagement programme for a small theatre production (see details below). You will also provide support to the Lead Producers with marketing and communications, as well as other areas of production as needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop (in collaboration with Lead Producers) and deliver the engagement programme for the production, including two post-show talks, a theatre club and a workshop programme for young people.
  • Manage the logistics of the engagement programme, such as booking workshop space, booking facilitators, securing speakers, communicating with participants and managing budgets.
    Promote the engagement programme through social media, email marketing and other channels.
  • Monitor the ongoing progress of projects, provide weekly updates to Lead Producers and attend meetings as required.
  • Gather data and evaluate the effectiveness of the engagement programme and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist the Lead Producer with other marketing and communications initiatives as needed, including communicating with teams and the public.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in project management, marketing and communications.
  • Experience with social media marketing and general communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good knowledge of digital tools especially Google Drive (docs and sheets)
  • Understanding of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace and in the industry at large
  • Passion for theatre (especially international and multicultural) and working with community and young people.

Fee

  • Weekly fee of £180 for 1 day of work, split over 2 days (ideally Tuesdays and Thursdays).
  • Set fee of £1800 for the entire contract (10 weeks).
  • Possibility of extension depending on funding.
